This bus tour from Chania to Knossos gets you right to Crete’s most important (and most visited!) archaeological site. The Palace of Knossos is located in Heraklion and this tour gives you the opportunity to explore the glory of Minoan Civilization. An added bonus of this tour is the visit to the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion and its rare and popular artefacts, such as the Phaistos Disc and unique finds from Knossos, which we will do a guided tour on.Â
Our Guided Tour to Knossos starts from Chania, where our luxury bus will take you. After a short while, we make a quick stop for breakfast near the vicinity of Rethymno.Â
After this breakfast stop, we arrive with our bus from Chania, to the Palace of Knossos. A professional Tour Guide will show you every aspect of the Palace, discovered by Minos Kalokairinos and Sir Arthur Evans in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The Knossos Palace guide will take 2 hours for the whole Palace tour.Â
After visiting the court of Knossos, we head to the city of Heraklion, the biggest city of Crete and the most densely populated: Guests have plenty of time to visit the famous Heraklion Archaeological Museum and stroll the picturesque alleys and squares of the old city.Â
More than 2 hours of free time is given to admire the political capital of Crete, as we return to Chania City from Heraklion using the highway. During the 2-hour bus ride from Heraklion to Chania a small refreshment break will be done so as to also take some extra photo souvenirs with you!
